Silly Me

Well here I sit with egg on my face ... once again.

I am trying to write a short story ... a murder mystery ... and include all my friends but my mind has failed me. I can't remember one of my dear friends hubby's name. As Bugs Bunny would say "What a Maroon!"

So since I can go no further until I get the name I thought I'd blog. Let my mind wander to where it will and see what type of mess I can get myself into.

I'm always so careful about what I put in hardcopy. What if they think I'm nuts? Am I the only one who concocts scenes while driving a car, or doing the ironing? Is it just me? I don’t count sheep at night I refine scenes. Is it bad to spend so much time in a fantasy world … If I were a true writer, one with aspirations of being published, then my active fantasy world would be a tool for work, however, I am going into the computer industry, not much use there for fantasy.

Perhaps I am insane. However, if this is insanity, sanity must be really boring.

Kudos to My Friends!

I have some friends who took some risks and spoke their minds about some sensitive political issues. They stepped up and said what they thought and I applaud them.

That is what should happen, discussions on topics that mean something to everyone. That is how policies are changed, wrongs righted and friendships cemented. People expressing how they feel what they want to see changed.

I take my Hat off to my friends who put their hearts on the blog and allowed the rest of us to ruminate on their thoughts and opinions.

Keep making me think girls!

Break Precious Break

Ah the sweet vision of putting on my pj’s and not taking them off for days … slouching on the couch playing on the computer writing stories … and before you ask the sky in my world is purple (LOL)

My darling family is already lining up tasks and errands for me to run but for tonight I’m sitting here with my friend X, Baileys in hand, and pjs on and I am happy.

Maybe I’ve had one or two Baileys more than I should have my typing is not so good so please forgive any spelling errors.

Well the words are just not with me tonight.

A Piece of Privacy

So I was chatting with a friend today and we started talking about the differences between the US and Canada.

We started by ranting about the new laws that tell government officials they can invade my privacy and I can do nothing about it. There has got to be a way for me and others like me to let the powers that be know we will not stand for this. The patriot act may help government to ferret terrorists but there has got to be a better way President Bush. The constitution and the bill of rights has given me the right to privacy and your patriot act has violates that right.

Millions have been spent on our right to free speech perhaps it is time to spend millions on our right to privacy!

I hate that argument I’d only oppose it if I had something to hide, people who use that argument did not live through the McCarthy era. Where an innocent housewife who was chatting with a friend was branded a communist because something she said was taken out of context! She was jailed and persecuted. Her friends were implicated and arrested and their friends etc. it was a mess!

Okay rant over but mark my words … they will not be far from what will happen because there are always those who will abuse the power for their own gain and we will suffer!

Ooh I sound like the voice of doom LOL maybe one Baileys too many???
